Royal Holiday cruises travel all over the world, from the Eastern Mediterranean to the South American Atlantic, and many points in between. In 2014, Royal Holiday members will be able to use their Holiday Credits to book a number of cruises with Alaskan itineraries.

The first Royal Holiday Alaskan cruise will department from Seattle, Washington, on May 13 and make a seven-night trip to the city of Skagway, Alaska, and back. Utilizing the 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle, the cruise will feature stops in Juneau, Alaska, as well as in Glacier Bay and Victoria, British Columbia. While the ship will stop in a port on all but one day out of the eight on its itinerary, it will still offer passengers a host of on-board attractions, including themed lounges and special areas just for kids.

A little over a week later, Royal Holiday’s second Alaskan cruise of 2014 will depart from Vancouver, British Columbia. The ship, a Panamax-size liner named the Island Princess, which was engineered to provide as many balcony staterooms as possible, will travel farther north than the Miracle, making stops in Ketchikan and Juneau before continuing on to Anchorage, Alaska. The trip will include many of the same destinations as those featured in the Miracle’s cruise, including Skagway and Glacier Bay. However, the cruise will be a one-way affair, leaving travelers to continue their vacations or make their own way back from Anchorage after the ship makes port there on May 28.

The following month, Royal Holiday members will be able to reverse the journey of the Island Princess on its sister ship, the Coral Princess. The reverse itinerary will leave Anchorage on June 21 and travel one-way to Vancouver, where it will arrive on June 28. This cruise will visit the same locations as the May trip of the Island Princess with one notable exception: a visit to Hubbard Glacier, which the ship will pass on its second day on the water. Like the Island Princess, the Coral Princess offers many staterooms with views of the water and on-board attractions ranging from a New Orleans-themed restaurant to a movie theater.
