by ROYAL HOLIDAY 7 April, 2017
    written by ROYAL HOLIDAY

Prepare to have your expectations more than met in Chicago with it´s culture, culinary delights and exciting nightlife—not to mention its impressive skyscrapers. Here’s a rundown of the basics:

    1. Grant Park

Grant Park’s colossal grounds, gardens, and walkways also include spectacular attractions such as the Field Museum of Natural History, one of the most important of its kind worldwide; and The Shedd Aquarium and the Art Institute of Chicago. Set aside ample time for the park and its attractions and don’t miss the nightly water show of lights and music at the Buckingham Fountain.

A public square with sculptures, landscapes and spaces for concerts, exhibitions and family activities. Its main attractions are the Crown Fountain, the Cloud Gate, (an impressive wrought-iron sculpture), and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Highly recommended.

    1. Architectural tour

Get to know Chicago’s renowned architecture. Head over to the Chicago Architecture Foundation, which offers tours of more than 60 sites on foot, as well as by boat, bus or train. A well-known favorite crosses the river by boat for a view of the city’s most iconic skyscrapers, such as the Willis Tower. Check out this link for information: http://www.architecture.org/
