Grand Turk is the largest island in the Turks Islands, extending just 6.9 sq. miles and including the territory’s capital, Cockburn Town. Samana Cay in the Bahamas is traditionally considered the site of Columbus’ first landfall, but some people believe that studies of Columbus’ journals show that Grand Turk was probably the correct spot.

A beautiful city in the Dominican Republic.
