    EXPLORE MEXICO CITY IN 6 DAYS

    Mexico City (CDMX) is one of the richest cultural and historical cities in both the ancient and modern world. With more than 20 million inhabitants, this city is a cultural hub where the pre-Hispanic world blends beautifully with a contemporary atmosphere. If this is your first time visiting, this 6-day itinerary will help you explore the most iconic and historic places in the city.

     

    DAY 1: HISTORIC DOWNTOWN AND ZÓCALO

    Begin your adventure in the Historic Downtown, one of the most iconic areas of the city. Visit the Zócalo, the largest public square in Latin America, surrounded by remarkable historic buildings. Some must-see places include:

    • The Metropolitan Cathedral: An impressive colonial structure blending various architectural styles.
    • The National Palace: Admire Diego Rivera’s murals that depict the rich history of Mexico.
    • Madero Street: Stroll down this pedestrian avenue filled with shops, restaurants, and architectural gems.
    • Templo Mayor: Explore the ruins of the ancient Mexica ceremonial center and learn about this fascinating civilization.

     

     

    DAY 2: CHAPULTEPEC PARK AND MUSEUMS

    Spend your second day immersed in art and nature at Chapultepec Park, one of the largest urban parks in the world. Explore:

    • The Chapultepec Castle: Once the official residence of Mexican emperors and presidents, this castle now houses the National History Museum and it offers breathtaking views of the city.
    • National Museum of Anthropology: One of the greatest museums in the world, showcasing artifacts from Mexico’s pre-Hispanic cultures, including the Mexica, Maya, and Olmec.

    After a cultural morning, enjoy a walk through the park’s gardens and relax by the lake.

     

     

    DAY 3: COYOACÁN AND FRIDA KAHLO

    • La Casa Azul (The Blue House): A museum dedicated to the life and art of Frida Kahlo, where you can see her paintings, personal belongings, and cherished memories.
