Unfortunately, frauds and scams are part of our everyday life, and despite our best efforts, they occasionally affect some of our members. Royal Holiday wants to help you protect your membership, and while we will continue making our best efforts to assist you, our members must also stay alert to identify potential scam and prevent any type of risk.
This is why we want to share some key tips to protect and manage your account. We know it is a great investment, so it is important that you can enjoy all its benefits without any fraud attempts.
LEARN ABOUT YOUR MEMBERSHIP
Know more about our hotel rooms by clicking here!
The first thing you need to do is take a couple of minutes to ensure you know and understand your membership: how it works, how you can use it, and its benefits.
Knowing what your membership includes and does not include will help you protect yourself against fraud attempts from people and other companies that try to contact you using our name.
PREVENT THE RISK
One of the most common types of fraud is called door-to-door scams. This involves different companies or individuals acting as representatives of our Club and often offering to “rent” your membership. Although they might look and sound convincing (they might even have our logo), it is important to remember that the only legitimate rental service is Rent Sure, which you can activate directly through the Royal Holiday offices in Mexico.
If you detect a scam or fraud attempt, write down the information and let us know immediately by calling 555-627-8800 or emailing us at [email address]. This will not only help us detect and track down the scam but also give you reassurance that Royal Holiday is not involved in those offers or transactions. Don’t be pressured or tempted by big discounts and offers, and remember to never make a bank deposit.
Another important tip is to be aware of common offers of “lower payments” in exchange for not paying your regular annual dues. If someone contacts you under our name and offers a similar deal, don’t provide any information—it is a scam.
Additionally, please be aware that we have no partnerships with other companies for renting or selling your membership. If you have any questions or concerns about your membership, you can always contact your travel advisor.
OTHER USEFUL TIPS
These are some of the common fraud and scam attempts, but there are more ways in which people may try to obtain your information. If you receive an email from Royal Holiday, always verify that it is coming from an official email account ending with @royal-holiday.com.
It is wise to be suspicious of “renting” and “selling” membership offers, as well as significant changes in prices and discounts. Although these offers may be tempting, always verify with our office before making any transactions.
Never—this is very important—NEVER share any personal information or details about your membership. If you receive any information that seems suspicious, take note of it and contact us immediately.
Keep all your important documentation safe, including your contract, receipts, reservations, and records of communication. Having everything organized will help you detect fraud attempts more easily.
